Harper’s Steakhouse & Bar Swanwick Marina

Very pleased with Harpers. Spacious carpark. Choice of inside or outdoor seating. Restaurant well arranged to give tables privacy. Varied menu to suit all but the most fussy eaters. My own meal was superb. Served hot and quickly. I will mention Imogen for the friendly and cheerful service. I shall be returning.

We went to Harper's Steakhouse Southampton for our wedding anniversary. Welcomed very warmly by staff and shown to our room which was large, very clean with enough room to store our things. Great to have hot chocolate and biscuits in our room so many hotels do not put those in your room any more. In the evening we enjoyed our complementary drink and introduced to our waitress Emily who was absolutely brilliant, very friendly, extremely helpful and offered us suggestions on the menu. She is a wonderful waitressand she made our evening.

Such a beautiful restuarant. Me and my partner never really get the chance to try new places for a meal out, and we stopped by here spontaneously, given that my partner always drives past this place everyday during work. The service was lovely, everyone was so polite and welcoming. I usually feel quite overwhelmed in new places, but I got on very well with the atmosphere, and the staff were not overbearing at all. I believe our server was named Driton, he was very friendly and professional, and he made us feel incredibly welcome. The food was beautiful also, tasted amazing, and the portion sizes were perfect. My partner (a major lover of chicken wings) was in awe at the size of his chicken wings starter, he was very impressed! We'd say it was the best 'first time' visiting a new restaurant that we've ever had. Definitely going to be going back as soon as we're able to plan another night out together!

Came here on Monday for our 63rd wedding anniversary.had the best meal we have ever eaten in any restaurant. Beautifully presented and absolutely best taste ever. Our room was really nice and the staff were all friendly and worked really hard I definitely recommend

Best location to stay near Southampton... room are very clean.. and food is excellent. Service .. is perfect . All staff is high level .. you feel like at home.. super friendly .. starting from the morning with breakfast till evening with dinner..

Had an epic experience today. The staff at this place never fail to impress. The food is good quality but the staff are top drawer. Today the place I wont lie was like a greenhouse....but thats what makes it even more impressive. The staff ...went above and beyond. Always checking, always smiling, Simply brilliant

Stayed for the week with work, rooms were great and cleaned/ restocked daily, with fresh milk and Nespresso coffee machine available in the room. Driton was great at dinner service, each meal brought surprisingly quickly and always of a good standard. All staff welcoming and friendly.

My family and I, including my husband, my mum, dad, and our two children, visited for Christmas Day lunch. The booking was made by my mum, and it seems there was some miscommunication or confusion between her and the manager during the booking process. I believe there may have been mistakes on both sides, but despite these initial hiccups, I felt compelled to write this review because of how exceptional the overall experience was. The food was absolutely excellent – beautifully prepared, delicious, and served with care. What truly stood out, however, was the incredible customer service provided by the entire team. It was Christmas Day, an exceptionally busy time, and I imagine the staff would have preferred to be at home with their own families. Yet, every single member of the team was warm, friendly, and attentive. They remained upbeat, helpful, and professional throughout our visit, and their teamwork was genuinely impressive. Despite the initial mix-up, our experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I cannot praise the staff enough for their hard work and dedication. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone considering dining here, especially for a special occasion. A big thank you to the entire team for making our Christmas lunch so enjoyable and memorable.
